Fit-n-Flex YOGA

Fit-n-Flex is open to the public! Anyone can join in on our classes by going to the schedule and reserving a class! Classes will begin Monday, August 7th at KV CrossFit’s new location in the Hathaway Creative Center at 10 Water St!!! Cost is $15/class for non-KVCF members, $5/class for members.

Our Amazing Teachers:

Susan Lohnes

Susan is a retired Registered Nurse, mother of two grown children and married 48 years. Susan has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. She is a 200 hr. Vinyasa trained yoga teacher. Currently working towards her 500 hr advanced teacher training at ShivaShakti. Susan most recently completed certifications in Asana, Alignment, Sanskrit, Pranayama and Ayurvedic yoga. In October, Susan will be taking an Advanced speciality class with the Senior focus in mind. Her continuing education and zest for learning is demonstrated and shared with her students on the mat. Using an Iyengar Vinyasa format , Susan’s classes will focus on form, spinal alignment , increasing strength through sequential flows, all the while building on flexibility and a new body mind connection that has been overlooked in other practices in your life. You will find that the natural progression in attending this style of practice will bring balance into you life. Come and join this class and discover your full potential. Mary Patterson

Mary is a certified RYT-200 Hatha yoga teacher. She is also certified in massage, reflexology, Reiki, and an RN. Mary enjoys teaching yoga classes that include rolling specific muscle groups on tennis balls to loosen these muscles. She also likes to incorporate stretching into her classes, flow, and a some challenging poses throughout to increase strength and balance. 

Andrea Shorey

Andrea is a 43 year old mom of two boys and married to Coach Jason. Together, they found our passion for fitness 5 years ago. Andrea started working out at home, and quickly moved to group exercise, then found her love for lifting. She is one of the OG’s of KV CrossFit!! Andrea’s love for yoga started over two years ago. She has since become a PiYo Live Instructor and is pursuing yoga teacher training. She is passionate about movements that fuel her fire and keeps her supple looking and feeling young!

Andrea will be teaching: PiYo Live ~ Are you ready for a high intensity, low impact workout that focuses on strength, balance, and flexibility? This is your class. Dynamic active class with upbeat music. Yin Yoga ~ Wind down with Yin Yoga. Yin focuses on the deeper connective tissues ligaments, joints, and fascia. This is a practice is generally on the floor, focused on holding poses for 3-5 minutes. She is also very excited to be adding Buti Yoga: Buti yoga is a soulful blend of power yoga, cardio-intensive tribal dance and deep abdominal toning. This all-in-one movement method tones and sculpts the body while facilitating complete inner transformation.
